Looking to become a Certified Building & Home Inspector?

We Millennium opened this class in July, but you still could join (by 8/2) or so.

  

-       The class is on every Tuesday & Thursday 6:30- 10:00 pm with total 10 weeks – for the class required by MD & VA.

 

-    This Certification programs is targeting for both ICC's Certified BLD Inspector and Certified Home Inspector's MD & VA class requirements (while you take 75 hour course). 

 

-       Your knowledge on home building construction and experience will be an issue of the class hours and the exam preparation.

on July 2, 2003
Governing Body: Virginia Board for Asbestos, Lead and Home Inspectors
Definitions: This is a voluntary certification law. No person may call themselves a certified Virginia home inspector without meeting the requirements as set out by the board.

Qualifications for becoming a Certified Home Inspector

Education & Experience

a) Complete 35 hours of education and perform 100 inspections
b) Complete 70 hours of education and perform 50 inspections

Testing

a)    Pass the National Home Inspectors Exam

Qualifications to Become a Licensed Maryland Home Inspector as of 10/01/2008

a) At least 72 hours class room instruction approved by the Commission: we, Millennium, authorized the training course from MD DLLR (as of April, 2011).

b) A high school diploma or equivalent

c) Pass the National Home Inspector Examination

d) Carry general liability insurance of no less than $50,000.00
