VA Class A/B Business Exam Prep

The class textbook (& also to carry to PSI exam) included in your tuition ($795): Mike Holt’s Electrical Exam Preparation (based on the 2017 NEC). We are expecting you have the 2017 NEC Codebook (or buy from us).

Plumbing Master/Journeyman Exam Prep

Location / Dates: 3-day expedited class on Jan. 30 – Feb. 1 (1-6 pm) at McLean/Tysons
Are you interested in passing the PSI exam for the Plumbing Master/Journeyman at one try? We provide the exam passing skills you need to become the Licensed Professional in the Plumbing industry.
You can keep coming to our classes for 6 months free of charge until you pass the PSI exam.

This course is designed for those who want to study the mechanical code and/or prepare for the Virginia (and Maryland) state licensing examination. Topics covered include administration, definitions, general regulations, ventilation, exhaust systems, duct systems, combustion air, chimneys/vents, specific appliances, fireplaces, solid fuel burning equipment, boilers, water heaters, pressure vessels, refrigeration, hydraulic piping, fuel oil piping, fuel oil storage, solar systems, and referenced standards.
Our instructors have extensive experience as well as teaching Journeyman/ Master HVAC licensing.

VA Home Improvement Contractor Exam Prep
VA Residential Building Contractor (RBC) Exam Prep

Location / Dates: 3-day online class on January 18, 20, & 25 (6-9 pm)

Location / Dates: 4-day online class from January 27 (4-7 pm)
To be LICENSED as Virginia RBC (Residential Building Contractor), you must pass the RBC Part – administered by PSI – to confirm that you have attained at least a minimum level of knowledge regarding the principles, practices, statutes, and regulations on Building technology.
MD Home Improvement Contractor (MHIC) Exam Prep
VA Commercial Building Contractor (CBC) Exam Prep

Location / Dates: One day expedited class on January 21 (11-5 pm) at McLean/Tysons
Home improvement work includes alteration, remodeling, repair or replacement of a building or part of a building used as a residence. Home improvement also includes work done on individual condominium units. MHIC exam textbook upgraded; 6th Edition w/ many changes. The Maryland Home Improvement Contractor (MHIC) Exam is an open-book test with 55 questions to answer in 150 minutes. 70% of the questions (39 questions) must be answered correctly to pass. Ace Tech is proud of client passing rate of over 90% for the past 15 years. We have weekly and monthly Maryland Home Improvement Contractor (MHIC) class in Tysons Corner, VA.

VA DPOR Regulatory Changes effective 2016;
Building Contractor (BLD) classification has been removed and replaced with Residential Building Contractor (RBC) and Commercial Building Contractor (CBC). Commercial Building Contractors (CBC): Individuals whose contracts include “construction, remodeling, repair, improvement, removal, or demolition on real property owned, controlled, or leased by another person of commercial, industrial, institutional, governmental, and accessory use buildings or structures”.
