With your registration you will receive all the class material by mail, a guarantee period of 6 months of classes (can join your class anytime you decide). Also, we have available 3 spacious locations. (At this time we can sit no more than 9 clients)
There are TWO ways to take your class (during COVID-19 threat):
Online – Attend class remotely from anywhere (7-day advance registration required – class materials will be sent via USPS mail. Access codes will be sent you by email a day before class start)
In-Person – join us in one of three comfortable classrooms.
Our instructors have extensive experience as HVAC Professional Engineers (PE) as well as teaching Journeyman/ Master HVAC licensing. The Master/Journeyman Course consists of 21/30 classroom hours to help you pass your PSI Exam. Our Guarantee Policy. You can keep coming to our classes for 6 months free of charge until you pass the PSI Exam. Seats may limited, so early registration is recommended. If you have 10 years experience in the field or have your HVAC Journeymans card for 1 year, you can obtain / sit for your HVAC license.
Ace Tech’s Exam Prep Service offers contractor’s license exam preparation, educational seminars, and reference materials. The Package Course covers both “VA mandatory 8-hour Prelicense class” and “Class-A Exam Prep Course” through a total of 20 classroom hours (for the 3 parts of PSI test)
Note to M/E/P Master Licensees – you may know that only one (Business) exam to pass for your VA Contractor Class-A license. Our 15 hour class to guarantee the Business exam to pass.
To be LICENSED as Virginia RBC (Residential Building Contractor), you must pass the RBC Part administered by PSI to confirm that you have attained at least a minimum level of knowledge regarding the principles, practices, statutes and regulations on Building technology.
This type of contractor includes construction on real property owned, controlled or leased by another person of commercial, industrial, institutional, governmental, residential (single- family, two-family, or multi-family) and accessory use buildings or structures. This license also allows remodeling, repair, improvement or demolition of these buildings & structures.
3 night exam prep, plus 4th day (1/28) to take the test.
For Core, Type I, Type II, Type III, and Universal (all three types).
To become certified, you must pass a written or oral test consisting of multiple-choice questions. There are four sections to the test. The first is the Core, which must be passed, along with at least one of the three other sections. For heating, air conditioning and refrigeration technicians, the EPA has three levels of certification:
Type I â€“ Small Appliances
Type II â€“ High Pressure Appliances
Type III â€“ Low Pressure Appliances
Proof of certification is required to purchase refrigerants covered by Section 608 regulations.
Home improvement work includes alteration, remodeling, repair or replacement of a building or part of a building used as a residence. Home improvement also includes work done on individual condominium units. MHIC exam text-book upgraded; 6th Edition w/ many changes. The Maryland Home Improvement Contractor (MHIC) Exam is an open-book test with 55 questions to answer in 150 minutes. 70% of the questions (39 questions) must be answered correctly to pass.
